COMPLETION OF THE MASTER MASON DEGREE

From the East

Congratulations to the officers of Milton Lodge as they performed the Fellowcraft degree last month. Everyone did an excellent job during this step-up night.

The Special Olympics on Sunday May 16 was as much fun for  those assisting as those participating. This event is Masonry in action.  Thank you Wor. Bruce Fought for heading this up for Milton Lodge.  At our June meeting, we will confer the Master Mason degree to our two new brethren. I expect it will be another great evening for Milton Lodge and the new candidates. We will also be balloting on the new officers for next year. This is important as the new officers will govern the path of Milton Lodge for the ensuing year.

Grand Master Most Worshipful Roger William Pageau will be the speaker at the Lodge of Instruction on June 2. Please plan to attend the final LOI of the Masonic year not only to greet the Grand Master but also to thank Wor. Bob Whitehouse for a job well done. Milton Lodge will be hosting the dinner that night. Bro. Al Fyfe will be in high gear as he prepares dinner for a large and august group of Masons. Milton Lodge brethren are needed to assist Bro. Al in the kitchen, with serving and clean up.

District 8 will be marching in Quincy’s Flag Day Parade on Saturday, June 12. Milton will host the barbeque and provide the Masonic float and decorations. All are welcome, and necessary, to make this another proud moment for Freemasonry. Business suits and aprons are the uniform of the day. Plan to meet at the Quincy Masonic Building at 5:30 to prepare the float.

Sunday, June 13th is the Grand Master’s Fair, which is always a great event for Masons, their families and friends. Plan to be in Charlton at 7:30. Help will be needed in transporting items to the Fair, setting up and manning the District 8 Booth. We need to do our part. See me to volunteer.  It will be a good time.

Have a safe and memorable summer.

Attest,                                                 Fraternally,

David Duncan, Secretary                      Paul F. Rcciardi
